Attorney for Portland Office
April 26, 2010: Schroeder Law Offices, PC, is looking to fill one attorney position in its Portland Office, starting immediately.
The ideal candidate would have
- licensure at least one or more years in Oregon
- licensure in one of Idaho, Washington or Nevada
- one to three years in private practice
- connections to food and fiber industries
- background or education in property, real estate, land use, agriculture, municipal and/or water law
- state or Federal court litigation experience (drafting discovery requests and motions)
- administrative law experience (contested cases and petitions for judicial review)
- clients in compatible practice area generating $200k or more annual fees
He or she would have character epitomized by
- a strong work ethic
- willingness to bill a minimum of 1650 hours per annum
- comfort working in close, family-type, team environment
- enjoyment in "learning by doing" with minimum supervision
- adaptability to a variety of environments "on the road"
And skills including but not limited to
- security and competence working in an all digital environment
- strong verbal, communication, networking and relationship skills
- proven marketing skills especially teaching, speaking and writing
- appellate level research and writing skills
Further, he or she
- approaches problems aggressively and professionally
- turns around assignments and moves client matters forward expeditiously
- identifies issues and solutions intuitively seeking logical but creative solutions
- has a proven track record in meeting client's and supervising attorney's expectations
- mentors and supports staff at all levels
- is available for road and air travel to support a regional scope of work
- and is unafraid to make coffee, clean the kitchen, copy and collate if the situation requires
